The Blogger Princess

Fashion, Food, Beauty, Home & Travel Digital Magazine

Boracay Ocean Club’s beachfront location is something I love. It’s been our home for 3 days and 2 nights. The fact that we had to move to a different hotel made me feel sad.

Perhaps you are wondering why we had to go to different hotels. As a blogger and travel agency owner, I would like to explore different hotels. You can’t recommend something that you haven’t tried.

Morning Activities

Coffee ☕️ with a view

The first thing I did, of course, was to have my superpower, a cup of coffee, while admiring the beauty of the beach from our private veranda. This is a perfect time to just listen to the waves and reflect. Without destruction, you can think properly.

I had to make the most of our final day at the Boracay Ocean Club.Beach Resort We will move to a non-beachfront hotel in a few hours, which will result in fewer beach activities.

Morning Swim

We took advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the beach while it’s not yet crowded.

My Crystal Kayak Pictorial

I have scheduled myself for a crystal kayak photo shoot. I just want new photos captured by a good photographer.

If in case you would like to include the crystal kayak photoshoot in your next Boracay trip, here’s the contact details:

₱250 is his fee for the photoshoot, but I got it for only ₱150.

Breakfast buffet 🍳☕️

For a picky eater like me, Boracay Ocean Club’s breakfast buffet is a sure hit. As long as scrambled eggs, garlic rice, and pasta are available, I am happy and satisfied.

Before heading to D’mall for lunch, we packed our things and got ready to check out. Thanks to the drying rack in the spacious veranda, our clothes were clean and dry by that time. We just left our luggage at the front desk, and we were advised that we can ask the concierge staff for assistance in calling an e-trike to take us to Ferra.

Lunch 🥗

Snacks 🍨

We walked to the other side and ordered at Coco Mama, which serves delicious coconut ice cream in a coconut shell. We settled on the small option of P180, which included 2 scoops of ice cream, coconut and pandan, along with fresh coconut strips, mango cubes, and crunchy pinipig. We super enjoyed it while walking back to Boracay Ocean Club Beach Resort.

Afternoon Activities

Transfer to Ferra Premiere 🏩

When we returned to Boracay Ocean Club, we sought assistance from the concierge. The staff brought our luggage and escorted us to 7-11. They called an e-trike that took us to Ferra Hotel Boracay.

🏝️ Why Ferra Premiere?

Because I am comparing different hotels, I would also like to try a non-beachfront hotel. Honestly, you can get the rate of one of their rooms in White Beach beachfront hotel, so why the hell did I book here if the rates are quite the same?

Before the pandemic, FERRA was supposed to host The Blogger Princess, so I have done my research. There were blog articles and positive reviews about Ferra Hotel, emphasizing the modern interiors and rooms and impeccable service from the staff.

Due to the pandemic, Ferra was not able to host us, but I became curious, so I wanted to check out and experience the superb service. Imagine, if you can get the same 5-star hotel service in a non-beachfront boutique hotel, I really wouldn’t mind (even if the price is quite the same as that of the beachfront hotels)

Check-in Experience

I was thrilled to experience the exceptional service at FERRA Hotel. Unfortunately, we felt unwelcome that day. It seemed like the front desk staff was facing a big problem that day, because she didn’t even manage to smile, even a fake one.

She informed us that we can use the rooftop pool at the other property (Ferra Gardens), but we have to pay P50 for the rental of towels. We are also not allowed to take the white towels from our room to the pool area, so you had no choice but to rent them.

She asked me to fill out a form asking about our breakfast meal preferences, and now it’s obvious that it was a plated breakfast, not a buffet one. I didn’t know how to react — whether I would be upset or just have a good laugh, because I fell into it. 😂😂😂

We were asked to wait at the restaurant, but after seeing two groups of guests who had already gone to their assigned rooms after drinking their welcome drinks, I went to the front desk area to check. It turned out that she forgot that we were waiting. That is why we were not given welcome drinks while waiting. 😟😥 Another staff escorted us to our loft room, which is just a few steps away from the restaurant where we were waiting. 😅😅

Our Loft Room

Well, obviously this wasn’t a good experience for us–I had high expectations about their exceptional service. Anyway, we loved the interior of the hotel and of course, our loft room.

We had no choice but to just stay in our room for the entire day. When I found out that we had to pay extra for the towel rental, I changed ny mind.

We didn’t have the energy to walk from the hotel to the White Beach, so we just slept. When we woke up, we felt better and we decided to go out and look for an inexpensive restaurant where we can have our dinner.

We went out in our yellow #OOTD to brighten up our mood

Dinner 🥘

Fortunately, we found a sulit dinner for two (Chicken and pork barbecue meal with leche flan) for only P350.00. Andok’s is an absolute hit for budget travelers like us!

After dinner, we just went back to the hotel and rested. So, this is it— we just accepted the fact that we just wasted the half day.

Well, at least I have experienced staying at Ferra and I know for a fact that I couldn’t recommend it. Unless they would like to spend money and it’s okay for them to walk for quite a long time to reach White Beach.

I want to express my gratitude for taking the time to follow my Boracay long weekend series (despite the fact that it took me a while). I will be posting a review of the Boracay Ocean Club Beach Resort hotel this week as I have promised.

I need your patience, as I’m also occupied with Tripsdiary Travel and Tours, due to significant changes. I won’t be able to share the complete details until they’re confirmed. We are currently accepting investors, so feel free to reach out to sales@tripsdiary.ph to inquire about it.
